Thanks!

I chose Police Officer-female version from The Paper Shelter! for my card. We have Resource Officers at our schools and I wanted to make a card to express my appreciation of them. I love that our police officers take time to get to know the kids and let them know they are there to protect them and they are their friends! I will admit I struggled making this card! I have been struggling with my coloring since I broke my shoulder.  And this is one I really struggled with. I had attended the Idaho Scrapbook Convention in Boise and learned a new background technique using alcohol inks. I thought this background was so pretty and then I covered most of it up! LOL! Anyway, it is what it is. Sometimes I don't end up with a card that I had pictured in my mind!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Death Was Arrested (North Point Inside Out)
Alone in my sorrow and dead in my sin
Lost without hope with no place to begin
Your love Made a way to let mercy come in
When death was arrested and my life began
Ash was redeemed only beauty remains
My orphan heart was given a name
My mourning grew quiet my feet rose to dance
When death was arrested and my life began

Water Fairy

I love this "Water Fairy" digi stamp from Cute As A Button! As often happens I couldn't wait to color it up. I actually thought I had it colored to perfection and on the first time. So, in the meantime, I decided to cut out a few die cuts. I didn't notice that the new trimmed up image was stuck to the back of my die cut and so I cut the newly colored image right down the middle with a very lacy die! Time to color again. This time I had it almost completely done and I went back to touch up an teeny, tiny, little spot and my Copic pen decided to drop a 'big blop of ink right across the face and wings of the fairy. Another colored image goes in the trash bin. By this time I had to walk away for a few days. Then I thought "third times the charm" right? Well I began to color and once again the color seemed to flow and I was loving it. When I got it finished I was so pleased and so I head over to my trusty  paper cutter to trim it up and I sliced the top of the wing off! Arrrrr! So, this is my fourth attempt at getting my card made. I did switch my colors up a bit on this one so all's well that ends well? LOL! I used a shimmer pen from CTMH and this card has some beautiful shimmer on it. Pearls, liquid glass, and a birthday die cut finished off my card.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Do You Believe In Magic? (Lovin' Spoonful)
Do you believe in magic in a young girl's heart
How the music can free her, whenever it starts
And it's magic, if the music is groovy
It makes you feel happy like an old-time movie
I'll tell you about the magic, and it'll free your soul
But it's like trying to tell a stranger 'bout rock and roll

A Time To Plant A Time To Harvest

Isn't it great to have friends who are always there for you? You know the ones who know how badly you have screwed up and they still want to be your friend. (They may laugh at you but they still care!) I am blessed to have friends like this. I made this card for a special friend. We may not see each other that often but when we do it is like we have never been apart. Sometimes it is nice to just send a card and let someone know you are thinking of them.
This beautiful stamp is from Cute As A Button it is called "A Time To Plant A time To Harvest".  Jump on over to the shop and check out all the beautiful stamps. You will be glad you did!

My Song: I Know Who Holds Tomorrow (Alison Krass)
I don't know about tomorrow
I just live for day to day
I don't borrow from the sunshine
For it's skies may turn to gray
I don't worry o'er the future
For I know what Jesus said
And today I'll walk beside Him
For He knows what lies ahead
Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand

LINCOLN'S BRITHDAY CARD

My just turned 4 year old grandson is staying with me today. He wanted to make a card for his Mommy and since her birthday is on April Fool's Day and Easter this year he wanted it to have all three things in the card. He used die cuts and liquid pearls (his very favorite things to use) to make this cute card. The paper all came from the scrap bin I think he did a great job don't you?

His Song: Mama (B.J. Thomas)
Who's the one who tied your shoe when you were young
And knew just when to come and see what you had done?
Mama, oh Mama
And who's the one who patched your eye and told you not to cry
'cause he was too big for you to try?
Mama, Ma-a-ma
And who's the one you didn't need to plead
To give her time to the Little League?
It was Mama, oh, ma-a-a-ma-a-a
And who's the one who gave her shoulder
When you told her your first love was over she'd met someone older
Mama, Mama
It was Mama, my ma-a-a-ma-a-a
Ma-a-ma, oh ma-a-ma
Who's the one who taught you obligation then dedication result graduation?
Mama, Mama
And who's the one who's shown the friends you've known
A home away from home when they were tired and all alone?
Mama, Mama
And who's the one who held a tear inside
When you introduced your future bride?
And who's the one who didn't mean to cry
As you walked down the aisle, the tears you saw her smile
Mama, oh, Mama
Ma-a-m-a-a, my Ma-a-ma-a
It was Ma-a-m-a-a

Easter Time

A closer look!
Cute Easter buttons!
The inside of my card!
Are you ready for Easter? Do you have a special tradition you do at Easter? We will attend church and then have a late lunch together. While the table is being cleared we will hide the Easter eggs. It really isn't much of a tradition but the joy of being together as a family means the most to me.  We are also having a challenge at The Paper Shelter! This time we want to see your Easter Time creations! I chose "Candy Bunny" for my card! You can find her and a wide array of lovely stamps at The Paper Shelter!  I hope you all have a lovely Easter and you take time to give thanks for all you have been given!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Because He Lives (Kristin Chenowith)
God sent His son, they called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal and forgive
He lived and died to buy my pardon
An empty grave is there to prove my savior lives
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow
Because He lives, all fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living, just because He lives

Bloom Where You Are Planted

It has been fun to be able to get back and color again! My shoulder is mending and other than lifting weight over my head I can do almost everything I did before my injury a year ago in February (2017)! Having said that I am struggling with my coloring. I feel like I have never touched Copics in my life and 'flicking' is a challenge for me! But, this beautiful new stamp from Cute as A Button
called "Bloom Where You Are Planted" I just love her and of course tulips are my favorite flower! The cute little ribbon holder came from an old purse I was getting rid of as it was falling apart. But, I had to recycle this pretty part. I added a few pearls and rhinestones to dress it up but for the most part I let the stamp be the focal part!
I hope you enjoy this card and please be sure and check out Cute As A Button shop for some fabulous unique stamps!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Bloom Where You're Planted
“Bloom where you are planted,”
My grandmother once said to me.
“Bloom where you are planted
So that you can be all you can be
Storms will come,
And lightening will strike
But don’t let the joys of this life pass you by.
Bloom where you are planted,
And one day you will see
That you are who God created you to be.”
